Treatment for psychological and psychosomatic problems
psychology and psychotherapy
People seek help because they are sad, and their sadness is somehow not recognized by the environment. They feel alone, bad, and tired. They cannot release their emotions and prefer to keep them to themselves. Often, they do not even know why they feel that way or what causes it. In fact, after a while, they are no longer able to feel what is going on inside of them. It can take years and is extremely destructive to their lives.
Usually listening attentively to their grief is supportive and a relief for people. Attention, empathy, and confidentiality are therefore effective elements in a psychological and or psychotherapeutic treatment.
A treatment is always aimed at gaining insight to strengthen autonomy and develop compassion for oneself and one’s environment.
Therapy
The problems to be treated include psychosomatic problems, attachment problems, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, addictions as well as behavioral problems, bereavement problems, lifestyle and finding meaning after retirement.
The psychometric tests which are used are scientifically proven and help determine physical and / or psychological complaints.
After the intake and a follow-up session, the treatment will be discussed with you. Depending on the treatment goals, various methods can be used.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy
Psychodynamic therapy is derived from psychoanalysis and is a form of therapy to gain better insight into yourself. With psychodynamic therapy your unconscious behavior, thoughts and feelings are brought to light. This can include memories from early childhood that still negatively affect your current behavior, thoughts, and feelings. The goal of psychodynamic therapy is to recognize the subconscious so that you gain better insight into psychological problems and learn to deal with them and process them.

Cognitive behavioral therapy
In cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy and counselling are combined in which your cognitions take a central position, in other words your thoughts, fantasies, memories and your beliefs about your actions.

Online therapy
If it is impossible for you to make an appointment at one of the locations, the treatment can take place online. So, it does not matter where you live, and you do not have to travel. An online treatment is just as effective as a face-to-face treatment.

About me
My name is Rian van Rijsbergen (1959), initially I was trained in the Netherlands in social cultural work and started to work in the world of art in which I worked for twenty years on an international level. After which I started studying again. At first, I specialized in hypnotherapy and psychosomatic problems such as IBS. And after coming to Spain in 2003 as hypnotherapist, I was trained in Germany and in Spain in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic concepts. In 2015, the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports homologated my studies as Licenciada and Psicología. The hypnotherapy made place for a varied form of psychotherapy, and I successfully finished a two-year Master´s degree in psychopathology at UNED in Madrid. Psychodynamic, psychopathology and psychoanalysis have my special interest. In my work I am used to collaborate with people from different nationalities and backgrounds. I only work with adults from 18 years on. In addition to collaboration with colleagues in the province, I collaborate with general practitioners, psychiatrists, and other specialists.
